Elucidations
In this section we lay out some key concepts and terminologies. These definitions will help to clarify what we do, how we approach things and why we have chosen the tools that we use.
Alignment
Throughout this site we will use the term alignment to mean being in agreement with Life. There is always a conversation going on with Life. Sometimes it gets a bit one-sided with us demanding that we want what we want when and how we want it. Being in alignment with Life requires a conversation and flow. It is being in the river and swimming with the current. This only happens when we are listening to the messages that Life gives us. All the tools that are offered on this site have one purpose, to deepen our alignment with Life.
Awareness
The term awareness has been used so much in the context of consciousness that it is almost meaningless. Nevertheless, we occasionally use the term "awareness' in specific contexts. This is usually about knowing what your beliefs are or understanding why you do what you do. One must be willing to admit that what we take to be the absolute truth is merely what we believe. Beliefs can be changed.
I am the wisest man alive, for I know one thing, and that is that I know nothing. -- Socrates
Conscious Creation
We are constantly creating. We do so by our word and actions. For example, J.R had a desire to be really rich with money falling out of his pockets. He spent money freely because he was told that if you desire something, live as though it already exists and it will come. Yet his bank account did not grow and he wondered why. Twenty five years ago he got your first job. The owner of the company was filthy rich. He was also very mean, cheated on his spouse and often bragged about his wealth. So twenty five years ago J.R. vowed never to be like that manager and in that decision was born the belief that rich people are mean, cheat on their spouse and are braggarts. That morphed into "If I am rich, I will be a mean, bragging, divorcee". Not wanting to be any of those things, J.R. chose not to be rich. He just did not know that he had made that decision.
Most people never realize the agreements, the beliefs they make about life. Conscious Creation is about being aware of what you are really creating through your beliefs (or intentions) then changing those beliefs to be in alignment with what you really want.
Sympathetic Resonance
Resonance comes from the Latin verb resonate, meaning to "return to sound". It means to sound and resound, as in an echo. Sympathetic resonance is when one object begins vibrating at the same rate as another. For example, when we strike a tuning fork, another tuning fork of the same pitch will begin to vibrate with the first fork. People experience sympathetic resonance all the time. When someone starts laughing uncontrollably, how long will it be before everyone around that person starts to laugh too? This is sympathetic resonance. This is important because it is a key aspect of sound therapy. Daily stresses can lead us away from health (healthy vibration). This can reveal itself as anger, depression, fatigue etc. Because our bodies pick up the vibration of other objects, the healing vibration of tuning forks, crystal singing bowls and other sound therapy tools can help us into a healthier state, a healthier vibration.
Willingness
The state of being ready and able. This is important because we cannot be anything that we are not willing to be. We cannot shift into a more aligned state unless and until we are willing to do so. If we are no willing to let go of an old contradiction, there is always a good reason - some agreement that we have made with ourselves that usually protected us. We can always ask ourselves, am I really willing to have (be) something. For instance, if we are not finding a life-partner ask yourself, "Am I willing to be a life-partner?" It is likely the answer is, "no". When the answer becomes, "yes", then the condition will exist.
Willfulness
So often we think that we have to "DO" something in order for something to happen. This is usually willfulness. The truth is that we have to "BE" something.
You must be the change that you want to see in the world. - Mahatma Gandhi
